Doreen Doucette

Doreen has been a nurse in the health care field for over 20 years. She completed her nursing studies in Yarmouth NS and then went on to complete her pharmacology studies at Henson College in Halifax, NS.

Doreen began to pursue studies in Holistic Health more than 11 years ago and now combines her wealth of knowledge in both Allopathic and Alternative medicines to benefit her patients.

She completed studies in Reflexology and became certified by the Canadian College of Natural Healing and Health in 2009.

Ayurveda & panchakarma

Doreen also study’s Ayurveda and Panchakarma Therapy, the ancient natural healing system of East Indian medicine, and in 2011 travelled to Kerala, India where she completed an Ayurveda & Phanchakarma certification course through the “School of Ayurveda & Panchakarma”. She continued to study under the direction of Ved Kovid Durgadas Lingham, and completed the “Ayurvedic Lifestyles Management” course under his direction in 2013.

Doreen returned to India in 2015 and completed a diploma course in

Ayurvedic Herbology & Pharmacology at PVA Ayurvedic Hospital under the direction of Dr. Abdurahaman Poilan.

In 2016, Doreen brought Dr. Poilan to Canada to continue studies under his direction, at her clinic.

In 2018 She successfully completed an Advanced Dietary Supplement Advisor course, and 2019 brought the completion of a Therapeutic Cannabis Mentor course. She now advises patients from the Medical Pain clinic regarding the benefits and contraindications of Cannabis/CBD products.

Along with being Certified in Reflexology, Ayurveda & Panchakarma, Advanced Dietary Supplement Advisor and Medical Cannabis Doreen has received her Doctorate of Natural Medicine and is registered with EBNMP Canada, and has successfully completed a Master Reflexology Course. Doreen is an appointed member of the Ayurvedic Society “Vishwa Ayurveda Samaj” as an Ayurvedic Kovid.

Doreen offers reflexology treatments, and various other treatments including Traditional Ayurvedic classic massage experiences, head massage, face massage, treatments using medicated oils, as well as traditional steam therapy.
